Ganiat Arogundade first discovered I-Train Africa in 2023 while searching online for opportunities to strengthen her digital and professional skills. As an education entrepreneur running her own school, she was deeply passionate about learning and development but recognized the growing importance of digital and workplace skills.
She joined I-Train Africa during the testing phase of the Workplace Fundamental Skills programme, committing six months of intensive learning and in-person participation at the hub. During this time, Ganiat demonstrated exceptional coordination, initiative, and leadership.
Shortly after completing the programme, she was appointed Programme Coordinator for the Global Mentorship Conference 2023. In that role, Ganiat successfully coordinated a team of 65 volunteers across multiple countries, helping to deliver one of the most impactful editions of the conference.
Since then, Ganiat has remained a cornerstone of the I-Train Africa community. She was formally appointed Programme Coordinator for the Foundation and has since supported the implementation of several initiatives, including the GMC Talk Show series, the coordination of multiple intern cohorts, and the development of Career Path Navigator, the youth-focused adaptation of the Workplace Fundamental Skills programme.
Today, even while participating in a three-year international exchange programme in the United States, Ganiat continues to actively contribute to the work and growth of I-Train Africa Foundation. Her journey from participant to programme leader reflects the spirit of the I-Train Africa community — where individuals grow, contribute, and help create opportunities for others.

This multi-year testing process helped refine the curriculum into a practical employability model capable of serving diverse populations across Africa.
Today, WFS has trained 1,608 participants across multiple cohorts and forms the foundation of the I-Train Africa workforce development approach.

From Traditional Project Work to Global Visibility — Without Sending a CV
“In my place of work, I am now a champion project manager. I came from a traditional project management setting with minimal use of collaborative tools.
After going through the Workplace Fundamental Skills (WFS) program and applying what I learned, everything changed.
I now work with modern workplace tools, structure my projects properly, and communicate my value clearly. Today, I am being reached out to on LinkedIn for global opportunities — and they are not even asking me for a CV.”
